About
"Accept the things to which fate binds you, and love the people with whom fate brings you together, and do so with all your heart." — Marcus Aurelius
I'm a developer based in San Diego. CS degree from San Diego State (2020), then a pivot to hospital food service at Scripps Mercy during COVID. I ran the overnight cafeteria solo, cooking for 50+ staff at a full inner-city hospital. The more care I put into it, the more people showed up. The night shift left a wall of thank-you notes, and the work earned Scripps Health's 2025 Values in Action Award. Wait times and volume became a real problem I could actually solve.
Through 2025 I built CafeNightClub, a food ordering system for 80+ hospital staff, and ran it in production into early 2026. Staff could order from their floor and pick up when it was ready, no more waiting around. I rebuilt it from scratch as OrderKit to go deeper, replacing cloud dependencies with a self-hosted stack any venue can deploy with Docker. Claude Code made the whole process faster.
I want to build for healthcare, infrastructure, and the systems that hold communities together. Sympatheia: the idea that we're all connected and responsible for one another. That's what drives the work. This portfolio and the projects in it are where that starts.
